Everything You Need to Know
Property-wide mesh: The Palms / password: pflamingo
Reaches the ocean, pool and throughout the villa — speeds over 300 Mbps.
Ethernet ports are also available inside the villa for a wired connection.
Backup villa network (if needed): Palms Villa 29 / password: 29292929
Smart TVs throughout — sign into your favourite streaming services (Netflix, Prime, Disney+, etc.) with your own credentials. Don't forget to sign out before you leave.
Costa Rica runs on renewable energy — the AC shuts off when doors are left ajar. The primary bedroom AC runs automatically from 6:30 pm to 9:30 am. Adjust with the remote to your liking. A dehumidifier runs automatically throughout your stay to keep air quality optimal and comfortable.
The bar sink exclusively dispenses filtered water from our reverse osmosis system. Fill a glass with ice or a pitcher to keep in the fridge. Perfectly pure — no need to buy bottled water.
Costa Rican coffee, milk, and sugar are waiting for you. Paper products (TP, paper towel, filters, dryer sheets), dish soap, hand soap, and laundry detergent are all provided.
Kitchen sink has a garbage disposal for soft organics (run water while using). The villa has a trash compactor for general refuse. Recycling goes in the bin outside the front door. Dirty diapers: bag first, then bin.
Washer and dryer are available. Leave the door and detergent tray ajar after washing. Empty the lint screen after each dryer cycle. A drying rack for bathing suits is in the closet outside the front door.
Guanacaste utilities aren't as consistent as North America — occasional power, internet, or water interruptions can happen. This is part of Costa Rican life and beyond our control. Thank you for your patience and understanding.
The 100-ft infinity pool and adults-only pool are steps away. Kayaks, paddleboards, boogie boards, snorkel gear, and beach umbrellas are all free to use. Return umbrellas to the wet bar drawer when done.
Concierge & Staff
The team at The Palms will make your stay feel effortless. They're the ones guests write home about — and write reviews about. Here's who you'll meet and how they can help.

Daily · IncludedTwo 60-minute beachside massage vouchers are waiting on the kitchen counter. Each is redeemable with Janet at the massage tent on the south end of the property. Book through the concierge or walk up when she's free. It's customary to tip $10–$20 per person over the voucher.

Carry Your PassportCosta Rican law requires proof of citizenship while driving. Keep your passport with you — spot checks are rare but do happen.

-
Road ConditionsMost roads between LIR and The Palms are paved and well-signed. They're windy but manageable — take it slow and enjoy the scenery.

Currency TipsUS dollars are universally accepted. Credit cards (especially no-foreign-fee ones) are best. Change may be given in CRC — that's normal. Avoid airport currency kiosks. Banks in Flamingo offer the best rates.

Google Maps →If you're flying into LIR, consider stopping here before heading to Flamingo to stock up on everything.
Google Maps →Skip the grocery run altogether — ask the concierge to arrange a private chef. Our personal favourite is surf & turf with Chef Leo.
